ISPMEC (First Edition)

The first Edition of ISPMeC, organized by the Coordination of PPGFQM, on November 17, 2014, had the participation of international experts such as Professors David Thuston (King's College of London) and Rob Leurs (Vrije University Amsterdam) and important names in Brazilian Pharmacology like Professors Fernando de Queiroz Cunha (USP-RP) and Roberto Soares de Moura (IBRAG, UERJ), first Coordinator of PPGFQM.

ISPMEC (Second Edition)

The Postgraduate Program in Pharmacology and Medicinal Chemistry (PPGFQM) at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences at UFRJ celebrated in 2019 the jubilee of 45 years since the course was created. The second edition of the “International Symposium on Pharmacology and Medicinal Chemistry” was held in this celebratory environment, on December 2nd and 3rd, 2019, and included the participation of researchers from the Universities of Yale, Dundee, San Francisco and Florida. In addition to the participation of a researcher from Antibe Therapeutics. The future of postgraduate studies in Brazil was discussed at a round table.

ISPMEC (Third Edition)

The future of postgraduate studies in Brazil was discussed at a round table. Held on the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of December 2021, the III ISPMeC has the participation of researchers: Dr. Stefan Laufer (University of Tübingen, Germany); Dr Thomas Spangenberg (Merck Global Health Institute, UK); Dr Laura Heitman (Drug Discovery and Safety Division, Leiden, Netherlands); Dr Mauro Perretti (William Harvey Research Institute, UK); Dr Martin Walsh  (Diamond Light Source (DLS), Oxfordshire, UK); Dr. Benjamin Perry (Drugs for Neglected Diseases Initiative (DNDi), Switzerland); Rhian Touyz  (Institut de recherche du Center universitaire de santé McGill, Montreal, Canada) and Dr. Michael Stocks (University of Nottingham, United Kingdom).
